THIRD GRADE.- WEEK 8

HI  STUDENT´S! Very pleasured with your way of working! This week from MAY 25TH TO MAY 29TH , we will work in the next topics:   OBJECTIVES:                            a) Speaking persuasively                                                   b) Passive voice review.                                                   c) Passive report structures.                                                   d) Vocabulary: geographical features; verb + noun collocations.   ACTIVITIES:   MONDAY MAY 25TH              a) Virtual classroom: Talk about strange places they have already                                                       Visited.                                                  b) Writing about this strange place, if they don´t they have to invent                                                       one.                                                  c) homework: Search about two of different strange places. Ex. The                                                      lost city of Atlantis, The Nazca lines, Stonehenge, Easter Island,etc.   TUESDAY MAY 26TH             a) Watch a video about strange places in the world! Whatever they                                                      want; a suggestion could be in:                                                       http://www.destinationtips.com                                                 b) Prepare a short exposition about one of these strange places.                                                 c) homework: Study for your exposition on Wednesday!   Resources: Computer, internet page, notebook , if you want to prepare material for your exposition you can do it.   WEDNESDAY MAY 27TH      a) Virtual classroom: Virtual presentations about one strange place.   Resources: Computer, virtual classroom, material that you ´ll prepare ( if you want ) for your expositions.   THURSDAY MAY 28TH          a) Review of passive voice: Make 10 exercises from active to passive,                                                      using: simple present, past and future.                                                                  Present , past and future progressive.                                                                  Present perfect, past and future.   Resources: Grammar notes, notebook.   FRIDAY MAY 29TH               a) Virtual classroom: Talk about pictures in p.110 student´s book.                                               b) Why would you like to know these strange place? Writing ( at least                                                     10 lines) in your notebook.                                               c) Vocabulary: reef, bay, sand dune, canyon, waterfall, mountain rage,                                                   volcano , glacier.   Resources: Student´s book, wordreference, notebook.
